Personal Care Assistant for Community Activities

Are you a natural caregiver interested in supporting some fantastic adults at a variety of local community activities? Our team will train you how to work with adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, who enjoy attending community events. For all who are new to our field, we will provide a $500 stipend to those who complete their Direct Support Professional certificate training within 3 months! In addition to accompanying adults to community events, you will also work with them in their individual homes, helping them to become more competent with their activities of daily living.

*Some past community activities: Topsham Fair, Seadogs Games, art shows, car shows, hikes, musicals, picnics, and movie nights.

We are currently looking for full time workers, 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week. Schedule could include 4 weekdays and a Saturday, or Monday- Friday 8-hour shifts. Occasional week nights may be worked for special activities, and weekday schedule can then be flexed.

PAY: $16.00 - $19.00/hour *WE PAY WEEKLY!

Requirements

• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be able to take courses to become certified as a Direct Support Professional. Paid training is provided.
• Must be good with people, outgoing, enjoy being in the community, who can work both independently and as a team player.
• Must be comfortable, or willing to learn how to support, individuals with various levels of disability in a variety of different settings.
