Job Summary


This full-time (grant funded) position is responsible for a variety of professional and administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of one or more components of the High Achievers Program. This position oversees the daily programming and is expected to resolve problems that have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department.

Responsibilities


Community Relations -
Serves as the liaison between GC and external constituents to include assisting with promoting and communicating family participation and program opportunities; Represents program to the GC community, external community organizations and/or businesses, and prospective employers; Develops and maintains positive relationship with parents, external community partners, and program participants; Serves as a liaison between afterschool youth and daytime teachers; Assists in overall program planning and development; Facilitates and leads participants in group activities; Ensures the safety of program participants; Oversees daily programming and resolves problems that have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department.

Program Development -
Develops curriculum and/or collaborates with external constituents for component delivery; Develops and maintains logistics associated with snack/food preparation; Submits reports, evaluations, data and attend workshops and trainings on behalf of the Program. Implements marketing and promoting program; Performs other duties as assigned.

Data Management -
Manages attendance and utilizes all relevant resources to maximize the effectiveness of delivery; Interprets, monitors, and analyzes information regarding operating policies and procedures; Manages statistical data such as grades, etc.; Submits monthly reports and data to Director; Meets DHS and GCSU guidelines concerning grant and program development; Attends all DHS required meetings/functions;
Serves as a liaison between DHS contacts and the GC High Achievers Program: Assists with the administration of budgets for the program to include but not limited to ensuring purchasing card entries are tracked and reported accurately to the fiscal agent, tracking and recording in-kind donations that are awarded. Enters requisitions using Peoplesoft.

ABILITIES
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of planning and facilitating meetings, identifying community needs, working with community leaders and volunteers of diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of marketing and promoting.

SKILLS
Sufficient computer competency, working skill set for Microsoft applications. Effective time management skills. Excellent organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
