Personal Chequing Account

This bank account allows easy access to your funds and reduces the need to visit the bank or ATM for cash. A personal checking account is a safer and more convenient way to make personal payments.

Minimum opening deposit amount XCD$200.00
No limits on the number of cheques written or transactions on the account
Free ATM card allowing withdraws and deposits at any time

Requirements For Personal Chequing Account

Requirements to open:

  • Minimum opening deposit amount USD $2000.00
  • Two valid Photo - (1) Passport and (2) Driver’s License / Social Security / National ID Card.
  • Proof of residential address - Utility Bill
  • Job letter to verify income and one-character reference from Bankers, Attorney, Accountant, Merchants, or Well-known and respected BOML customer

OR if unemployed

  • Two character references from Bankers, Attorney, Accountant, Merchants, or Well-known and respected BOML customer

Important:

  • Documents should not be more than three months’ old
  • All letters must be addressed to The Manager, Bank of Montserrat Ltd, Brades, Montserrat

  • Min monthly Service Charge (Personal) $25
  • A/C closed within 3 months (Personal) $30

  • A/C closed within 3 months (Corporate) $30
  • Cheque Books (25 leaves) $25

  • Minimum monthly Overdraft Interest $30
  • Overdraft in excess of normal limit 1% on excess

A corporate checking account is used for business transactions. A running balance allows you to keep track of your account balance at all times and prevents you from overdrawing your account.

Access to your account by simply writing a cheque.

US Dollar Chequing
Account

This is a special chequing account for United States Dollar currency.
