Job Role
To give strong support to the Manager – Risk and Compliance in of all aspects of the Bank’s Risk and Compliance Program in an effort to ensure:
  • Effectiveness within the Bank
  • Increased Compliance with regulatory, legal, AML/CFT requirements and Compliance with internal Policies and Procedures
  • Prevention and reduction of inherent risk of the bank.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the Risk framework within the ERM framework
  • Assist in overseeing the execution of the Risk Management Program of the Bank
  • Assist in promoting an effective and robust risk management culture
Proposed Duties and Functions
  • Assist with updating the Risk policies to ensure that they reflect industry best practices
  • Assist in Stress Testing of the Bank, in line with Regulatory requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments as assigned both routine and ad hoc.
  • Provide direct support to the Manager – Risk and Compliance in the planning and execution of projects related to the Risk Management programs.
  • Monitor and analyze identified trends in key risks reported to Management/Board of Directors
  • Maintain current knowledge of all company policies, procedures, products and services.
  • Assist in undertaking other relevant assignments for the benefit and development of the Risk Maturity of the Bank
  • Maintain current knowledge of Risk Management Best practice standards, systems and tools and Regulations governing Risk Management
Authorities/Reporting
  • The Risk Analyst will report directly to the Manager – Risk and Compliance.
  • Performs other duties (non-conflicting to compliance) as assigned by the Manager-Risk and Compliance.
 
Qualifications/Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a business related subject.
  • International Risk Management Certification or Certified Internal Auditor designation
  • A minimum of three years auditing/accounting/banking experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Other Professional qualifications in Risk Management
  • A minimum of three years auditing / accounting / banking experience in a supervisory capacity
