A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BANQUETS BEVERAGE CAPTAIN:

Our club in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking to hire a full-time beverage captain in our Banquets department. You are a skilled mixologist preparing consistent high-quality cocktails at a fast pace, according to the club’s pouring policies and standards. You assist with all banquet beverage inventory procedures, as well as all processes associated with billing, assuring high standards for appearance, as well as cleanliness of all banquet bars.

Additionally you always ensure compliance with all beverage laws, regulations, and club standards. Monitors equipment and inventory levels and takes appropriate action. Taking pride in all beverage areas, you create and maintain a cleaning schedule for all beverage equipment and are conscientious about staff adhering to health codes and cleaning procedures. You enjoy having our beautiful grounds and facilities as a backdrop for your work and get great satisfaction out of helping our members and their guests have a great beverage experience!

To be successful:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Five+ years of experience in beverage industry
• One+ year of supervisory experience
• Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in hospitality preferred
• Previous experience working in the Club industry preferred
• Must be able to pull, push and lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to walk or sit for prolonged periods of time

Experience in a country club environment as a supervisor and extensive wine and spirits knowledge are required but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
