BUS DRIVER, SCPS Physics Bus
The ePathways Department is searching for drivers for the SCPS Physics Bus. This former school bus has been converted into a mobile learning lab that will visit SCPS elementary schools and community events to teach students about physics concepts such as mechanics, optics, and electricity. This is an outstanding opportunity to inspire and motivate young learners!
The Physics Bus driver will be needed on specific weekdays when the bus is scheduled to visit schools. Work hours will vary but a typical day would be 8:00 am - 2:30 pm. The driver will also be expected to assist the Physics Bus teacher with set-up and clean-up of lab activities as well as general supervision of activities on the bus. No transport of students will be involved in this assignment. Compensation will be $20/hour.
Applicants must have earned a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid Florida Commercial Driver License Class B with Passenger and S Endorsements, and an acceptable driving record through the State Department of Motor Vehicles. Other requirements and expectations will be shared at time of interview.
