Primary Objectives.
- Network Support. Mud Bay has readily available, high-performing networks that are managed to follow our IT standards, guidelines, and industry standards.
- Security Controls. Mud Bay’s security controls have continuous, proactive monitoring, with events reviewed and remediated with collaboration from our team and partners and investigation into bigger principles and complexities.
- Tech Infrastructure. Mud Bay’s infrastructure, hardware, and network are up-to-date and provide optimal stability and performance in all Mud Bay locations, with issues proactively reviewed, managed, and resolved. Future impacts and potential vulnerabilities are anticipated and addressed with support of System Manager and security team.
- Escalation Support. Mud Bay’s Helpdesk team has appropriate support and guidance when technical issues are escalated to System Admins, with persistent problems flagged for continuous improvement.
- Asset Deployment. Mud Bay locations and teams have the tech assets they need to do their jobs well, including in-person, on-premises support and leadership when needed.
- Business Needs. Mud Bay’s technical systems are continuously reviewed for suitability in meeting our business needs, with new systems and improvements researched and proposed when appropriate.
- Mud Bay Experience. Muddies have consistent, proactive, enthusiastic support for their IT needs, helping to create the Mud Bay Experience for customers and colleagues alike.

Job Details.
- Hours and location. The IT Systems Administrator II is a full-time, salaried position based in the Olympia home office in Olympia, WA. Occasional remote work and travel may be required.
- Primary Team. As part of the IT team, this position reports to the Senior Systems Manager and collaborates with our Systems Administrator III, Help Desk, and other IT team members.
- Compensation. The salary range for this position is $76,694 - $93,567 depending on skills and experience.
- Benefits. This position is eligible for Mud Bay’s standard benefits package including medical, dental, and vision; Mud Bay’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP); staff discount on Mud Bay purchases; 401k available; funds employee contributes to 401k are matched with a contribution into Mud Bay’s ESOP once eligible.
