The Position
As a senior leader in the Financial Advisory Practice, you will be crucial to a team working daily with clients, investment and commercial banks, and other working group members.
Essential Functions:
- Liaison between junior and senior staff, as well as managing client relationships
- Superior execution throughout all processes of a transaction
- Effective control and management of internal and external deadlines
- Ability to recognize new business opportunities for existing clients and leverage relationships
- Create, analyze, evaluate and quality check debt and derivative models using Microsoft Excel, DBC, and proprietary analytical tools
- Coordinating, drafting and editing presentations and communications with clients
- Monitor and communicate market developments
- Lead financing working group calls/meetings, as requested and appropriate
- Participate in the delivery of all client services
- Review bond and swap legal documentation
- Collaborate effectively with team members of both junior and senior levels
- Demonstrate self-initiative and team-play in developing ideas and models to improve current processes while producing high-quality, value-added results
- Analyze and interpret credit models and databases
- Perform bond and swap evaluations on a monthly basis, or as needed
- Grow in knowledge of health care as an industry and treasury best practices
Qualifications
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Superior analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills
- Keen interest of capital markets, especially bond and swap markets
- At ease with financial mathematics and an ability to teach concepts to clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other analytic tools
- Capable manager and mentor in a supervisorial role
- Clear and concise presentation and communication skills
- Highly intelligent and intellectually curious
- Fresh thinking, innovative approaches to problem solving
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- At home in a service-driven, client-centric culture
- Team focused; supportive and accountable to colleagues
- Self-motivated; ability to take initiative on assigned project components

- Willingness and ability to travel, sometimes on short notice, on a limited basis
- Current permanent US work authorization required
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
- Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Work Environment
- Travel Required: Moderate 20-30%
- The position can be based in Chicago - or remote.
- Work is regularly performed in a combination of in office, home office, and client settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.
- It may require the maintenance of a home office and proximity to an airport for work related travel.
