HVAC SERVICE & REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Warren Heating and Cooling, LLC is seeking a talented, experienced Service/Repair Technician. We are a small company that excels in customer satisfaction. Our team services residential, condominiums, and light commercial properties in the greater Madison area. This position has a potential for earning sales commissions.

Position is Mon-Fri, 7:30am-3:30pm

Position requires pager rotation for after-hours and on-call appointments

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

· Inspect and conduct performance tests on current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety, must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair existing problems

· Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, and warranty service repair

· Check and verify operation of complete system before leaving to minimize callbacks

· Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources

· Perform consultation with customers to determine their needs and discuss all solution methods

· Must be techno-savvy and able to use a tablet to properly keep records of customer appointments and payment transactions, including invoices

· Keep manager informed of issues related to the customer

· Deliver exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction

· If experienced in Installation – supplemental duties could include install new and replacement units for heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, plus duct work projects

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be physically able to work in all environments including but not limited to confined spaces, roof tops, climb ladders, etc.

· Able to work in and quickly acclimate to extreme temperatures

· Able to lift over 50 pounds

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· 2+ years of experience with service and repair of traditional, forced air and alternative HVAC technologies - These include but are not limited to radiant, forced air, boilers, steam & gravity, wood burning, indirect water heaters, ductless, mini-duct, dehumidifiers, ventilation, and air filtration systems

· EPA 608 Certification to handle refrigerants is required

· Have functioning knowledge of motor controls and electrical troubleshooting skills

· HVAC Installation and experience in bending metal to fabricate duct work is a plus!

· Boiler and Commercial install and repair skills/experience are a plus!

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Driving a company vehicle requires a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the desire to maintain a satisfactory driving record as required by the company’s insurance provider

· Background Check required

· Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand

· A strong commitment to customer satisfaction

· Work with a high degree of honesty and integrity to promote a positive image

· Confident and self-motivated, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

· Have a willingness to learn and grow within the industry, participate in training to grow, and develop as a professional

· Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations

· Must be able and willing to work extended daily work hours when required
